Frozen Desserts: A Delicious Solution When You Can’t Order Ahead
In a world where convenience often reigns supreme, there’s something truly satisfying about indulging in a delectable dessert at a moment’s notice. Yet, in our fast-paced lives, it’s not always possible to plan ahead. So, what’s the solution when your sweet tooth strikes unexpectedly? Enter frozen desserts, your new best friend when you want quality in a moments notice.
1. Always Ready to Satisfy Your Cravings
The beauty of frozen desserts lies in their ability to be on standby whenever you need them. Unlike our freshly prepared treats, which often require a week’s, frozen desserts are there for you, patiently waiting in our freezer. Whether it’s a sudden craving for creamy pies, cheesecakes or, a decadent frozen cake, you can have your sweet fix without delay.
2. No Compromise on Flavor or Quality
Contrary to the misconception that frozen desserts are a compromise in terms of taste and quality, they often rival their fresh counterparts. We take great pride in crafting frozen treats using high-quality ingredients and our time-honored recipes. As a result, you can enjoy the same amazing flavors and textures without worrying about them losing their magic in the freezer.
3. Less Food Waste
One of the advantages of frozen desserts is that they have a longer shelf life compared to their fresh counterparts. This means we can keep them on hand for your unpredictable moments when you need a quick dessert fix. Plus, it helps reduce our food waste since we won’t have to toss out desserts that have gone stale or spoiled before anyone could enjoy them.
4. Convenience without Sacrificing Quality
While fresh desserts certainly have their place and time, there’s no denying that frozen desserts offer unparalleled convenience without sacrificing quality. They are your reliable backup plan for satisfying cravings, surprising guests, or simply enjoying a moment of sweet indulgence.

52 Cakes’ Farm to Cake Fundraiser is not only offering delicious treats but also making a positive impact on the Haywood County community by supporting various non-profit organizations and causes.
This week we were able to donate to the Haywood County Arts Council. And to add icing to the cake, the winning bid decided to donate the cake to the Haywood County Sherrif’s Department.
The next cake will be in honor of Braden’s Birthday Fundraiser. It’s heartwarming to see how individuals and businesses in Haywood County are coming together to support important causes. Braden’s Birthday fundraiser, in memory of Braden, is particularly touching, as it honors his memory by giving back to the community through collecting socks for Haywood County Foster Care kids and providing a scholarship to a Tuscola High School student. More can be found on their Facebook Page here. https://www.facebook.com/BradensBirthday
This kind of community-driven initiative showcases the power of small acts of kindness and the impact they can have when multiplied. We are overjoyed to be part of a community that thrives on helping one another, where lending a hand is a way of life. We receive numerous requests each week to contribute to various causes, and while we’d love to assist every time, it’s not always possible. That’s why we’ve embarked on our very own fundraising initiative: ’52 Cakes.’
Each week, we’ll craft a unique and delightful cake, focusing on either its style or flavor, or both. Then, we’ll auction off that delectable creation. Our commitment is to donate one cake per week, supporting 52 different non-profit organizations, initiatives, and projects right here in Haywood County. Every cent raised will be directed to the cause of the week, and the following week, we’ll select another deserving cause to support.
We want to express our heartfelt appreciation to the platform that manages the bids and collects the funds on our behalf. All the winning bidder needs to do is pick up the cake on Friday morning and savor every bite, knowing they’ve made a difference.
The cakes will be finished and posted in social media and here on our website every Thursday morning. You have until 5:00 PM to bid on the cake. The winning bidder will be notified and all they need to do is pickup the cake Friday!
Our cakes range from wedding and celebration cakes to amazing cakes to lift your spirits and served with dinner.  We offer a cake as small as six-inch to serve 8, up to multi-tiered cakes to serve hundreds.  All can be simply or incredibly decorated.
Many of our patrons are requesting a flavor list. We really don’t have one. As specialty bakers the options are almost unlimited. There are many combinations for cakes, fillings and icings. And cakes can be fashioned out of your favorite desserts.  This article is pointed to our brides, but when we bake birthday, baby shower, anniversary and celebration cakes, we use our same tried and true recipes, fillings and icings.
We choose tasting flavors based on traditional and seasonal flavors with input from our couples and other visitors . They will include Bavarians, cheesecakes, mousse, curds, fruit compotes and more.  The sample flavors we provide for you will represent our talent, taste and presentation. We feel you will find our cakes incredibly delicious and ask you to imagine how good your cake will be, for example, “substituting the raspberry for blackberry.”
Here is a common list that we use for our scheduled wedding tasting menu to give you a quick look at what we offer:
Apple Spice with a caramel buttercream filling
Pumpkin spice with an orange zest cream cheese filling on the 1st and middle, top filling layer of pumpkin puree cream filling
Traditional red velvet with a traditional cream cheese filling
Chocolate cake with a peanut butter mousse filling
Italian cream (my most popular white cake) with a raspberry puree and Chambord (raspberry liquor)
Lemon cake, lemon curd filling with a blueberry coulis and vanilla buttercream
Strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream and a strawberry cheesecake filling layer
Carrot cake with a traditional cream cheese filling
Chocolate/Almond marble cake with an Amaretto filling and an almond cheesecake and cream cheese filling layer in the top filling layer
All of our cakes are scratch made with natural ingredients. Fresh and local when we can find them, including compotes, jams, and other fillings. And our buttercream icings are made with real sweet butter, no shortening, margarine, Â or powdered sugar. They are light in texture and in flavor. They are the true buttercream icings.
You can have any flavor combination inside your cake. And the outside can be decorated any way you would like. So, have your cake and eat it too!!
Our Flavor Trends in our wedding and celebration cakes.
Our current trends include compound cakes.  The days of having just two layers of cake with regular icing in the middle are over!!!  In the example of the cake slices, we took a traditional strawberry cake  which includes our scratch made strawberry compote and added a layer of strawberry cheesecake.  Another,  we took a traditional coconut cake (made with coconut milk) and added lime buttercream and a lime Bavarian layer.
Dessert bars are very much in style for parties and weddings. It is very trendy to include multiple cakes to accommodate your guests that request vegan and gluten-free options. Pies are very much in vogue as well as an assortment of cookies, bars and other favorite desserts (pies, tarts, cheesecakes, and so forth).  And when it comes to pie?  Well, we’ve taken our filling for our old fashioned chocolate pie and put it into a cake!
If you like Tiramisu, we bake the lady fingers as a layer cake, add to that the coffee liquor soaking syrup (usually Kahlua), and prepare a true mascarpone Bavarian cream. The end result is a Tiramisu taste in a layered style for an event or just for dinner!
Dessert bars can accommodate your vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free and pie lover guests!
Note: no matter what the year and whatever the internet says is the latest, remember the new trend is for our bride and our customers to have exactly what they want… and that includes everything.
I hope this helps, and let us know when we can schedule a complimentary tasting for you if you are planning a wedding or large event.

The Sublime! Our key lime pie – a majestic treat to finish off your next picnic or family gathering 29~
There are two schools of thought when it comes to baking a key lime pie… the kind you bake and the kind you don’t. And there are equal numbers of people that line up for both. So, we combined them into our own version. First we take our traditional key lime pie recipe and bake it in a graham cracker lined pan.
